The 7 Levels of Listening (you can read the German blog post here) are:

  1. Ignoring: the other person flat-out refuses to acknowledge you
  2. Pretending: the other person looks like they're listening but are not
  3. Projecting: the other person hears only what they want to hear
  4. Limiting: the other person cuts you short
  5. Argumentative: the other person listens only so they can beat you
  6. Attentive: the other person doesn't interrupt and keep eye contact
  7. Active: the other person paraphrases your words and clarifies your feelings
  8. Empathic: the other person gives you what you need: company or a solution

Yes, there's actually 8. That's because the first level, (Level 0 in the cards), is really not listening at all but bears inclusion.
